Mother's Day

When I saw this card, I knew I had to CASE it for Mother's Day.  It matches the colors of the gift I am getting for my mom.  I got her a Vera Bradley monogrammed tote in Go Wild-colors black and yellow.  Just perfect!

And my darling Corbin baby who is almost 13 months old made his contribution too with the following handprint art.

Another Update

Wow! It has been a long time since my last post. Unfortunately, we were not able to move and so decided to do some renovating. We added some kitchen cabinets, replaced countertops, replaced kitchen floor, added a metal roof, added a vinyl fence, bought some living room furniture, and traded my car for a small SUV. And now, finally, maybe, we are done for awhile!

Many thanks for your thoughts and prayers for my brother in law. He has some health issues and is blind. He is currently in a nursing facility and it is unknown at this time whether he will be able to care for himself again. He is doing good in rehabilitation learning how to walk again and feeding himself. Time will tell.

On a happier note, my Corbin baby will be one year old this week. We celebrated this past Saturday and I have lots of pictures to share. The theme was Dr. Seuss and it was a fun day!!

Updates

Just popping in for a few quick updates. We are in the middle of buying a home and also listing our current home for sale. If all continues to go well, we are set to close the day after Thanksgiving. Needless to say, it's hard to keep my house picture perfect for a realtor to show at any time with a little baby in the house. So there hasn't been much time for crafting. Hopefully, once we make the move and I get my new craft room (yes, a whole room!) set up, there will be more time for creativity-but it's looking like it might be after the holidays.

Also, baby Corbin is crawling and golly, can he move fast! He is also pulling up on everything which makes for one exhausted mama. We haven't installed the baby gates since we are planning to move soon, so I am right behind him on all of his explorations.

Some of you know about my brother-in-law...he has been moved out of intensive care, but is still in the hospital. He is blind in one eye and can only see shadows from the other. There are other medical issues, but we still don't know the extent of them yet. They are currently looking for housing for him, probably in a care facility and he will need some psychiatric care to deal with his attempt at suicide and the aftermath. Thank you for all of your thoughts and prayers!

Birthday Wreath

My friend's son, who we are visiting Saturday, is turning 2. He is having a Sesame Street themed birthday party and I made a balloon wreath for the front door. It was so much fun to make! and I'm planning on a Dr. Seuss one for Corbin-baby on his first birthday-which isn't until April.

Who-o-o is two?

I made this little owlie card (inspiration HERE) for a special little friend of mine who is turning 2 this weekend. We are traveling about 3 hours to his birthday party. It will be the longest trip we have taken Corbin baby on. We'll see how it goes!
